Blog 4 for the 20% time project
I have officially decided that I will not be looking into films and analyzing them. I have my plate quite full as it is and adding the two hours of watching a film plus countless other hours or research on directing, cinematography and casting is too much. I am making lots of progress on the music side of things though, I am currently editing and researching a few pieces. I genuinely underestimated the amount of work that goes into each review, it is such an interesting but long process but I am enjoying learning so many new things and finding incredible insights into my favourite music. I can feel deadlines approaching quickly and I am trying to keep up, but as Charron said everything gets busier in April, May and June, but I am doing my best to keep up.
Blog 3 For 20% Time project
I have been referring to a lot of other music reviews recently as a kind of resource to understand formatting for my own reviews. Most articles about music vary a lot, and there is no specific format or platform to follow, but I am learning a lot from the “pros” and it feels really good to look at music from this perspective. So far I have only looked into music and have yet to venture into film, I am not as comfortable reviewing film because it is very different than music. I plan to copy what I did with music and do some research into other film reviews as a guide, and hopefully that will make me more comfortable with the change. Overall, it feels really good to look into what I love so much and learn a lot about another side I had never really considered before, I am still very excited about this project.
Blog 2 for 20% Time project
I have finally created a website for my reviews, using my own pictures and creating it to my style and liking. It took way too long and was much harder than expected, I tried three different website designing platforms before settling on one that has and allows everything that I would want. Designing the website proved to be difficult to get everything into an order and format that I could cope with, I had to learn how the platform works then edit my site and then finally put my own pictures and such in. I currently am using place holder article provided by the website, which I will remove and add my own reviews as soon as I have the few I'm finished editing. Overall, I feel like I am making genuine progress and it feels refreshing !!

This project has only just started and I am struggling to find an appropriate website editor that will let me do what I want for my website. I want my website to be easily maneuverable and easy for me to change if my desired format doesn't work out, however most platforms do not allow major changes after a website goes lives. So my search to find an adequate platform continues. As for the other side of my project, I have actually started doing decent work, I have started two reviews, both are very much a work in progress but still work that I have done. I hope to have them edited and up on the working website soon.
